Major antagonist for my storyworld, a stupid-intelligent dragon who causes no end of trouble in his own quiet way to many of my protagonists.
It really has taken me ages to arrive at a design that I like, but I'm finally really happy with this. It was really important to me that his look was believable, and matched his personality, because he is one of my more complex characters and as an obstacle and 'bad guy' its important to me that he is motivations are strong and compelling, even more so than any of my protagonists, to lend validity and weight to their story's, and push the conflicts of my story past the simple 'good vrs evil' dichotomy into something far more realistic, volatile and potential interesting.

Indeed he is. Ahnalun is a major threat, a huge obstacle for my characters to overcome and just plain trouble for a great many people, but he's not evil. He was and is, champion of the other side of a very nasty little argument between species.
In the contemporary era his obstacle is mostly political, but in the stories that take place back during the war it is mostly military tactics, a righteous attitude, complete faith in his lord and master... and that meeeeean set of chompers XD

Very interesting. Compared to how he has behaved after his imprisonment, I'd like to see how/why he interferes with your protagonists as often (or not) as he does.
