Colour palate trials for the T'kodi spicies
Still working on that T'kodi reference sheet ever so slowly. This wont be on it however, not in its entierty.
This is pretty much the colour variance of the spices nailed down. I have picked six ‘skin’ tones and nine ‘secondary’ tones that can occur in hair and mixed in the scale tones. additionally occurrences of melaninsum, which is not uncommon and renders the tkodi completely black, and Albinoisum, which is exceedingly rare.
Tkodi will only ever have one skin colour, but there are plenty of instances of two or more secondary colours, like Axkara who has a combination of teal and rust. This chart is only intended to show colour palate possibilities. Additionally, the colour mottling varies from individual to individual, but as shown above, most tkodi are colored darker secondary colours on the top and paler on the belly, as it gave them a camouflage advantage in their native habitat of deep canyon forests

When it comes to reskinning these, how long do you think it took to recolour all of these?

weeeel, the colours are actually each painted into a mask layer over a vector flat colour layer, so I just had to change the layer colour. so each recolor took about 20 seconds... but saving each one, lining them up nicely and compiling this image probably too me forty minutes total.
