how long did it need to brew, and how much spp does it render?

brew? if you mean time it took me about 20-30 minutes to render,ssp I don't remember.

would be amazing if they had more build height. but at least they're finally providing some ocean based blocks now like sea lanterns, prismarine, and wet sponge. the slime blocks, not sure how good they are for building, but they are kinda fun to mess around with and bounce on top of. then there's the clone command and fill command. they're a little limited to 5k blocks for now that can be changed by the commands, but it's still a decent start of vanilla minecraft world edit methods. then signs and books can be placed in with a more nifty feature to their design where say a book can have selected words in it that can run a command.
with the new slime block functionality, people have been making some insane stuff like flying machines and even giant walking robots www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmLxH3…

granite (has polished version), andesite (has a polished version), diorite (has a polished version), slimeblock, prismarine, dark prismarine, prismarine brick, sea lanterns, wet sponge, and regular sponge will be obtainable in survival by putting wet sponge in a furnace and provide a use of water removal.

there's also underwater dungeons being added to oceans with the new hostile mobs called Guardians. they are water hostile mobs, they have ranged attack, and they hate both players and squids.
