I've never been able to figure out which side he's on, the Masters or the Horde?

According to a comic strip I read about him once, he started out as a good guy with a HUGE inferiority complex until Hordak offered to make him as powerful as "Dragstor" and like the self-loathing, desperate guy he was Extendar actually let Hordak upgrade him. Unfortunately Hordak also mind-controlled him so he attacked He-Man until He-Man figured out how to make him an okay guy again!
