originally influenced by stained glass (a neighbor was doing stained glass at the time), then somebody mentioned it looked like a kite, a friend made a tail to add to it, so it became a kitewalnut, poplar and cedar

Very nicely done, it still looks a bit like a cross to me... if you tilted it it would look more like a kite for eye.

I think it was originally intended to be a cross type thing (also influenced by church windows). Never thought about tilting it- always trying to get things straight Thanks!
