hmm, what if i have higher resolution monitor?
i wanted to use some kind of CSS finally, and as i can't make my own these simple layouts could be all i need
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ClaireJones In reply to Ilharess [2007-12-11 03:29:50 +0000 UTC]
Should be fine. Most CSS have trouble dealing have resolution problems lower than 1280x1024 which is why I mentioned 1024x768, but are okay otherwise.
The main graphic at the top is sized at 1600px wide and dA adds a little sidebar, so I figured that covered most monitors.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like the new colours.
Just one thing to note. After I released the CSS pack, I discovered an error and spent the rest of the day fixing it. I'm not sure when/if you downloaded the file, but you may need to re-download it if you originally did so on the day I released it.

What was the error? And yeah I downloaded that puppy the moment you put it up *sheepish grin*
I also use it for my club here:

ClaireJones In reply to LeonaWindrider [2007-12-12 15:34:26 +0000 UTC]
Thanks!
The error involves the bottom of the journal and the "Comments/Previous Journal" links. Firefox gave me so much hassle getting the spacing right in the two column version. In certain views, the sidebar content would overflow into the Moodbox section. I spent a day trying to fix it so that wouldn't happen and yet keep the regular view unaffected. I thought it was fixed, but I apparently put the wrong code in the CSS (that's what I get for altering several journals at once ). I ended up spending the entire day after I released it working out the code. It was a long day.

LeonaWindrider In reply to ClaireJones [2007-12-12 21:37:01 +0000 UTC]
Oh! I know what you're talking about. I noticed that the "mood" section of the footer was over a bit to the right on the =Anthro-Alliance journal and didn't think too much of it, but I just realized it's due to the space at the bottom of the sidebar moving it over in a certain view. Certainly not an enormous issue, but I thank you for working so hard to correct it. I'll download the update tonight and change it over.
Thanks again!

Like the color variations. Look good together, sadly you only have one color in your journal
Great work here.
My favorites are Lemon, Rose and Ice

ClaireJones In reply to GinkgoWerkstatt [2007-12-08 18:08:02 +0000 UTC]
Thanks so much!
I suppose one could take all of the .heading images and make multiple headings with the different colours to mimic a rainbow effect in the .journaltext section. For some strange reason, I didn't think of that.
I'm not a fan of Lemon. It is strictly there to fill out the rainbow. It reminds me too much of the Dummies books!

You're very welcome!
Yes, after looking at your preview i thought that a rainbow template could be very nice.
Oh really? Never used such books, but understand what you mean.

Thanks so much!
One thing about the link colours in Crimson, though. You will probably want to change them to better colours. I had intended to use it for my own journal, but the glare of red text was just too much for my eyes (didn't feel like changing the link colours at the time as I wanted to get the journal up fast). There were so many colour decisions I had to make when creating the layout series that I ended up putting some colours down quickly rather spend time properly coordinating everything. People always change the link colours, anyway.
