What struck me more than the age difference was the paint scheme on those multilevels... Somehow fascinating, I don't know why...

That was the original RTA scheme. When the railroads gave up running these trains originally it was the RTA that took over. Later the authority transferred to Metra. The RTA still exists but more as an umbrella funding body rather than an operational one. That sets the stage for annual political battles.

your telling me generations apart! my gawd! isn't the RTA paint scheme from 1994 and older , but that engine is normal... but carrying old cars... AND WHAT IS WITH THE STEAM ENGINE! how do these random combinations pass each other?
