1977 - acrylicThis was painted in my copying days. I used photos or other paintings. I can't remember what I copied this from though.
I don't have the patience for detail anymore nor the interest.

It reminds me of the Dutch sea paintings from the period just prior to Manet's appearance on the French scene. I like the way you've handled the waves and the background, but I'm having a little trouble figuring out what's going on with the bow of the ship. I know what you mean about running out of patience. That's the reason I aborted my short-lived attempt at painting.

I'm not sure what you mean about the bow but it's possible that I might have omitted something accidentally since I am not ship savvy. I was very happy with the waves at the time.
