Enigma - Push The Limits
About the title: Gustave Eiffel pushed the limits in it's time and place. The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower. Of the 700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's was unanimously chosen. However it was not accepted by all at first, and a petition of 300 names - including those of Maupassant, Emile Zola, Charles Garnier (architect of the OpΓ©ra Garnier), and Dumas the Younger - protested its construction.

i really like this. i think the main reason is because it's a heavily photographed landmark, and yet you've taken away all traces of this being 'just another holiday snap'. i like the colours and i like the polarised, grainy effect; it looks like it was created from blue ink. the sum of everything is a very moody picture. i'm interested to know what the statue to right was of. it looks a little undefined.

I wanted it to seem very dreamy, so I changed the contrast a lot.
The statue on the right is a horse (they have lots of statues in bridges, and that is one of them).
Glad you liked it

it's a really interesting shot. it looks as if there was a storm. so i like the overall atmosphere, with the strong contrast between the light and the dark

Muitos nΓ£o gostaram muito, por causa da 'poeira' que meti na imagem ... achei que dava-lhe um ar mais interessante do que a foto original

I love this look. As a hopeless romantic, the eiffle tower is like this perfect embodiment of that idea for me. LOVE IT! Color is perfect.

Wooooah, I love the perspective and the light n dark factor.
Only thing that bugs me is the graininess in the clouds, but someone already pointed that out not much else I can say critique-wise
I just love it The shot itself is good, and I love the Eiffel Tower (and French things)

Thanks ... yeah I thought that the grayness in the image would give a better effect (making it seem a bit different, looking more like fantasy), but I guess I was wrong.
Yeah I did liked the Eiffel Tower, but I prefer the Notre Dame cathedral ... I hope that I can go back there someday

Can't please everyone
The blurry was kinda intended to make a dreamy effect
And if it was sharped, it would be to common in my opinion.
