Enigma - Push The Limits
About the title: Gustave Eiffel pushed the limits in it's time and place. The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower. Of the 700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's was unanimously chosen. However it was not accepted by all at first, and a petition of 300 names - including those of Maupassant, Emile Zola, Charles Garnier (architect of the OpΓ©ra Garnier), and Dumas the Younger - protested its construction.

I'm usually not a fan of tilted architecture photos, but this one doesn't count as such for me... it's almost surreal. It's got such nice fantasy-like quality to it. The lighting! Looks quite amazing. I like it a lot

Yeah I liked how it looked (thought some people complained about the sharpening of the pic, but it was intended that way).
Basically what I've done was changing the contrast & the tone of the pic.
Glad you liked it (again)

really nice shot, a tad blurry, but that's part of what makes it work I think

Yeah I thought that too, but I think I'll have to sharpen it whenever I can, or make a different effect in the pic.

I like the view and the color scheme, but the picture itself is rather fuzzy. Just try sharpening it up and you'll be fine.

I disagree.
I am completely anal when it comes to blurry images, but this is gorgeous; this soft focus. It adds a dreamlike quality to the Eiffel Tower which so many other photos do not show.
I think it's near impossible to take a subject like this and make it unique and he has done just that.

I've just noticed this comment 2 years later
Well, I can only say that I'm glad you have liked it then, and I hope that you still like it nowadays.
Thanks for the comment and sorry for the late reply

Actually it was intended to be that way ... sharpening the image wouldn't make it much interesting.
Thanks for the comment
