Description The Messerschmitt Bf-109 was designed before WW2, and the earliest versions saw combat in the Spanish Civil War. It became the most widely used fighter in the Luftwaffe with 30,000 being produced in many variants and sub-variants.

The 109 was also used by at least ten other countries, but was out-classed by the end of the war, and only lived on as the Avia S-199 and Hispano HA1.112.

The 109 E-3 was armed with 2 x 7.92mm machine guns and 2 x 20mm cannon.

The 109 E-4 was armed with 2 x 13mm machine guns and 3 x 20mm cannon. Bombs, cameras and fuel tanks could be fitted to later versions and some guns would be removed in some cases.

The 109 E-7 was armed with 2 x 13mm machine guns and 2 x 20mm cannon. Bombs, cameras and fuel tanks could be fitted also.

The 109F had an improved Daimler Benz engine which meant a new nose design, new semi-elliptical wings, new radiators, new tailplane without struts, and a new rudder. It was armed with 2 x 15mm machine guns and 1 x 15mm cannon (later changed to a 20mm cannon) firing through the propeller. It was initially criticised for being lightly-armed, but the performance and handling were much improved and many Luftwaffe pilots made good use of this.

This example is a Bf-109 E-3 of Stab1/JG1, circa 1941.

the E4 was armed with 2 x 7.92mm machine guns and 2 x20 mm MG FF M cannons but the E 3 was armed with 20mm MG FF cannons. the bf 109Gs had 2 x13mm mg 131 heavy machine guns and 1 x 20 mm mg 151/20. there where optional 20mm gondolas which would have been put under the wings.the E 7was armed with 2 x 7.92mm machine guns and 2 x 20mm cannons. the Bf 109k was armed with 2 x 13mm mg 131 and 1 x 30mm mk 108 cannon.

Oh good. Can I keep you as a contact for if/when I need a nice three-view of a plane? And how much do you charge? (I worry about that with my currency, you see).

Looks good, my only suggestion is that the red wing walk lines should extend inboard following the fixed trailing edge (forward of the flap) to the wing/fuselage fairing
