Description There are numerous droids in the Star Wars universe but none more famous than R2-D2.

R2 plays a central role in all episodes but becomes crucial in Episode IV onwards.

R2 units are multi-functional and as well as repairing and navigating spacecraft, they can record and playback video and audio and communicate the other computers and systems.

R2-D2 is equipped with a buzz saw, electric pike, fusion welder, and a holographic recorder/transmitter.
