There are many Astromech and Agromech Droids in the Star Wars universe.R2 and later series units are multi-functional and as well as repairing and navigating spacecraft, they can record and playback video and audio and communicate the other computers and systems.
This is Imperial droid R3-T6 - seen aboard the Death Star - Battle of Yavin.
