Very nice art and gallery in general - i have a particular attachment to F15s as my friends father flew them.
Ive had a vague look around and couldnt find much about this but apologies if you get inundated with this kind of question How do you go about making these images? I assume you directly reference photos? The colouring and lines seem so incredibly precise! Its extremely impressive.

Thank you
I have collected many black and white outline drawings from various places which I use as a base to get the shapes and panel lines correct, then I use photos, drawings, other images to reference camo and colours.
The lines are all re-drawn so that the whole image can be scaled as needed, then the blocks of colour are added, and camo 'blobs' drawn in.
After that, I work on the markings, shields, badges, numbers etc.
Then comes the shading - this is quite tricky, but it basically involves an 'overlay' layer on top of the colour, but below the panel lines, in the form of a gradient mesh for each segment.
And finally I add shadow blocks under the wings etc. which is a simple black, set to semi-transparent.
The main tool is Adobe Illustrator - I hardly use Photoshop, except to compose the final image to it's frame...
If you were wondering - It's 20 - 40 hours work for each new piece, and probably about 3 - 4 hours to do a 'swap' say from one camo scheme to another on the same plane...
Oh, and I should do a proper tutorial...

I like to think of it as the list of DOOM!
Actually, I don't mind having ideas in the pipeline, it's better than a blank 'what now?'
