Whut? Okay, given the mechanical nightmare of those swing wings it makes a certain amount of sense, but was this ever seriously proposed?

I don't think so. The IRL G-303-F was a single-fin derivative of what would become the IRL Tomcat...

Agreed, but IIRC, the G-303-F was still a swing-wing design, IRL.
