New pictures of my 18 cosplay. Too bad my belt buckle cover broke during the day, I had to remove it ;(I like this picture, I think it really shows 18 personality

just being technical (^^) : Cyborg 18 or C18 is the french name of the character I don't know about others european countries )
though,I know there is also an alternate name for her which is: Artificial Human #18

japan:JinzΕ'ningen #18
etc etc
By the way, I don't really understand why 18 is called Android in the US version because, being an android means to be a plain robot. But 17 and 18 are part human ( they say in the story they hate gero for turning them into cyborgs, she even got a baby, how can a robot do that?) so technically, 17 and 18 should be called cybord and not android. However, 16 is a full robot (if I remember) so he can be called an android.

I most likely have commented on this before, but when I see this photo I can think of nothing other the Android 18, a perfect capture of her personality and outfit. Very Very Nice Job
Always wanted to go to a cosplay to see how people act in the costumes they make or have friends that could have imaginations like this also.

18 really is more of a cyborg and not an android. Androids are all machine that look human like but Cyborgs have human parts. There was even an episode where Goku asked how 18 could even have a baby and Krillin said she started out human or something like that that let us know she at least was part human. Good picture by the way.

No, My pancreas failed a few years ago so now i have a robotic one. I didn't need a robtic one i got it a year after my panceas failed but for the first year i had to self inject six needles a day D= that sucked ass!

You're right about the "android" vs "cyborg" terminology. I can't remember much about the back stories of 17 and 18 (from what I remember, Trunks says they were created by Dr. Gero....I think), but the reason 18 has a baby is because Krillin convinces the others to use one of the dragonball wishes to turn her into a full human.

Actually, in the U.S., it's generally understood an Android is part human and part robot, while robot is just all machine; hence the android in Android 18.

I always liked 18.... your outfit, pose, and look suits her. She's sitting there like "So.... you done making a fool of yourself yet? When are you going to give me a REAL fight??? Darn, I may have chipped a nail...."
I also like how technical you are with the terminology: android, cyborg, etc. For example, I always argued that the Terminator is not a true cyborg, but more like an android, since he doesn't need the flesh to survive.

By far the best #18 cosplay pic I've seen! The outfit is perfect and I definitely enjoy the "uh-huh, whatever" pose XD Too bad about your poor belt! Yeah, it always bugs me whenever people call her "Android 18" because as you said, neither she nor her brother are androids. They're cyborgs, humans with robotic parts. I always just refer to her as good ol' #18. Props to your photographer to capturing your fantastic pose

You got right with that name-android - becouse as You told they are built as the beginning to machines with AI but stilll dont have anything to do with human -and this is android
In Poland they were called cyborg or c in the short and that would be fine in any country of world
