Description
In effort to round out a concept art portfolio I've made a sheet of 100 character thumbnail concepts. Some are decent, some are lame; I'll pick a couple of my favorites and render them in more detail.I'd also like to do a fan favorite, so let me know your fav and if it's the most popular, it'll join mine in the polishing room! Wow! That's amazing! The floating dragoon looking one (1st of row 3) really stood out to me for some reason as did the longbow man (last one on second to last row)

my top 3 out of the list woulde be:
1: the 6th of the 10th row
2: the 6th of the 3rd row
3: the 5th of the 9th row
It was a pretty hard choice cause i like more than just a few of them, so, good job!

I like the one in the third row, third from the right, as I am a huge mage/wizard fan.

a monumental and well executed undertaking I must say, though speaking from experience, it's probably best not to include any of the 'lame' ones if you can help it. just leave the ones in that you think are the strongest/you like the most.
i once made the mistake of leaving a doodle i'd done (just to get the juices flowing) on a sheet, and to my surprise(and later shame) it was one of the one's my producer ended up picking... which was fine until i had to justify its existence to his boss. It's a funny story to me now, but wasn't all that funny at the time...

4th row, 8th character is my fav since it reminds me of Robofish from Timesplitters.

Did you have any plan for each character or did you just make a line and go from there??
I really like the guys on the 9th row first on the right and 4th from the right. Overall good stuff.

No, there really wasn't any planning for the characters. I just did a squiggly mess to indicate the pose and came back afterward to refine what I saw from the shapes.

very cool. I'm into the concept art business now. I wanna make a portfolio too. "skillfull huntsman" is a good book on concept art.
