Amazing! which technique do you use to get to this painting effect without lineart? I'm really looking forward to know it and applicate to my own illustrations!

Using a large flat brush forces you to think in terms of masses of form and shadow which I think you're picking up on. Lines indicate the location and point of division of two tones but don't establish the form or value. Start with the largest color notes and work your way smaller. I additionally used the smudge tool a bit to soften some edges in the hair. Hope this helps
