We had a Saint Bernard and lab mutt when the kids were small. That was one sweet dog. I think of her every day as well, as I fondly do of each dog I've ever owned. They are each so different in the way they grace our lives. The puppy in this photo is today my very best old pal. I'm glad you had a dog when you were young. He sounds like the perfect mix.

Have kept dogs my whole life, always abandoned or strayed or abused dogs. My charity is an animal shelter. Like you I remember each one vividly

Thank you so much. It is a film photo from a few years back. The woman is my daughter, whom I love very much, and the dog has grown into a smart rascal. I think it is my best photo, because the lens has amplified my love for them both, and caught the mystery of a man's love for his daughter. It is an impossible thing to capture otherwise. Of course I am more than pleased that you liked it.

hmm I see, I've got the feeling that black and white pictures are much more expressive than colored ones. As a friend of mine said "when you present a black and white picture, people will notice on the quality of it, the opposite happens with colored pictures, when people will just notice the colors."
I love colors, and almost all my colored pictures are moved by them. But this feeling about b&w pictures is quite forward
Regarding your picture, it really touched me in this expressive way.
