Man! I love this piece, sir! Here's what I see: Two beings , brought to each other by the world and time and mass and space that's built under , accumulated as past, and has moved them to this point - theyve risen. A moment of study, we a have connection as a bridge is built between two great beings sliding past on a sunrise. Like two whole civilizations headed in each others' direction. The colors are mystifying against a quiet and almost picturesque sky. They make me feel movement, shimmering, time, motion life death. I really do love the story I pull from this. Thanks for sharing this, I will be returning back to this fantastic and moving image!

I agree with much of the story that you pull from this image. I also love how although, as the title would suggest, these civilizations might seem as different as Night and Day, underneath it all, both civilizations still have so many things in common, that with out such superficial labels, it would be hard to distiguish between the two.

OOh, I like how you put that! Very true, and you've given me more things to think about when looking at an image I really enjoy.

The depth of the two mountains bring a sense of twisted anguish with creatures seemingly trapped within their form. They also give dramatic sense of depth with the edge blending into a treeline giving immensity to the beings perched above.

The insects/birds flying around the creatures impart stillness and unease (carrion?) and highlights the depth of the chasm between the two.

It is really beautiful. The statues have so much energy to them and the color choices are rich.
