Some still life I was forced to do in my drawing 1 class. Its rather boring but I am rather proud - especially that texture on my orange. And to clarify, yes, the fruits were right in front of me.Can you name each fruit and type of apple?
Tools: staedtler graphite drawing pencils and tuff stuff eraser on canson pure white 80lb (about 20 inches wide)

I like the apples just fine... and the other fruit, too. I do enjoy some good citrus fruit, mmmmm-anyway, they're very well done for something you were required to do. They have great form and even look pretty tasty.
I hope your professor appreciated them, too.

I worked my arse on them haha. "for something you were required to do" really don't seem appropriate to me. I feel the things I am forced to do I work harder on. Things that I do for myself - well - I don't mind be half-assed and lazy.
Well, they like most of my art at school was hung somewhere or another. I think they were appreciated o.-

You have a point there. Assignments can push you in positive ways, too. Especially with discipline. It's just that when I think about assignments I think of them negatively. That being said I didn't enjoy the last years of high school very much.

I didn't really enjoy my drawing class but that didn't stop me from trying hard. It made it satisfying at the least.

I am not well versed in fruit i am realizing O_O BUT! um... I do know what the apple next to the pear feels like cause i've had one of those before!!
Ahem. now that i am done making the fool of myself, love, your still life drawings are also so amazing how do you do this o-o. The texture on the orange is wonderful, but the texture on ALL of these are great. The shiny apple next to the orange, the apple that is next to the peach, they are something i can FEEL by looking at them you know? its really quite the feat.
I know its class work and it was boring as fuck most likely, but you pimped it and it looks great <3

Lol its okay, I think my family is familiar with apples only because we lived near an apple orchard and the people were so friendly and sold some apples locally - and I tell you THEY WERE THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! I mean, we got to try like every type of apple exists and definitely have some favorites but seriously. I have never NEVER eaten an apple from any other place, no matter what type of apple they are and enjoyed them like their apples. And everyone who has tried them feels the same way. But let me end that rant right there hee
I just spent a lot of careful time on them and tried to make them look like what I was seeing. I've never examined anything so closely, I think haha I was super proud of my hard work with the textures so I wanted to share xD
