Description
This is the promo pic for Hollow Fields, currently featured at Gomanga. I wanted to do a painting which showed all the bad guys, so the Engineers are in the background, and Lucy is standing in front of them. With Dino. Can't forget Dino.Pen + ink, Adobe Photoshop. I know it's rather small, but the colours were fairly hasty...up close, you can really tell!

0_0 Wait, is this really Madeleine Rosca? If so, it is an amazing honor to meet you! Heh, even if you're an artist who worked on the cover art, this is really a grand moment. I just bought the book today, and I was impressed at the quality of the work. Quite a few of original English manga (and this is just from what I've read) is a little sloppy. However, this work, Hollow Fields, was very well done. (My friend didn't care about my enthusiasm for the shading on the Engineers' faces; I find the suggestion of curves much better than blank shadows.)
Truly, this is one of the, well, coolest things that has ever happened to me. I enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) Hollow Fields! Thank you for your contribution to modern society; you have earned a fan.

I loved the manga and it's plot,along with al of the creative characters!The backgrounds were wonderfully designed,and every perosn had a history and persona of their own!

ohmigoodness, I was so sad when I found out Hollow Fields was a trilogy! I really hoped it would be longer. I liked the ending though.

It was really cute how Stinch liked Miss Notch. I really liked the way you did that. What will happen to Ms. Rickets now that she's in the girls body? Wow, what will happen to the girl? Have you thought of making something like an epilogue? I'd be really interested to see how Bleak rebuilds Hollow Fields. I have a lot of questions, so sorry if I sound annoying. I'll fire a few at you. You probably get a lot of annoying questions like this... ^-^; Well here's my random shot:
Did Weaver actually die?
What will happen to the children from the windmill?
What did they tell the parents of the children who got sent to the windmill? "Oh, by the way, we used your child for a crazy forbidden science experiment which caused them to lose all of their memories and become a lifeless drone. But they made good grades this semester"
What will happen to Lucy?
Who will repair Notch?
Did all the other engineers die?
Will it still be a school of mad science, but in a safer aspect?
Does Croach ever get a new arm? Or body for that matter...
Will Lucy become an engineer when she's old enough?
Does Lucy ever get a new Dino?
Were there any other alternate endings?

I'm sorry, I liked the ending, but it kind of left me thirsty for a sequel. ^_^ I just liked it a lot. I didn't want it to end. I've even done a few sketches of Hollow Fields just cause I like it so much. I even made an original engineer (laughs). I'm actually a dedicated fan. Do you intend to write any other manga?

please & thank u, i really want to know if anow falls in love with claude or if its the opposite or if they both like each other secretley or if they don't like each other at all(sorry it was such a long sentence) i like a good action love story but if it ends up having no lovey stuff at all it doesnt matter cause its still a REALLY good book >o<
