Description
Not long after jettisoning his old body, Mr Croach commissioned a formal portrait to hang in his private office. It was long thought to have been destroyed by a fire caused by two young students, who were at the time trying to build a 1:100 scale replica of the Eiffel Tower using a large woolen picnic blanket and a bucket of dead squid. (How they managed to start the fire is a mystery for another day.) However a patron of the arts living in Nullsville is believed to have had it smuggled out of Hollow Fields by means unknown. So here it is, digitally restored for your convenience. Good day.Manga Studio, Painter X, Photoshop CS3.

I do not know why, but yes. Good heavens I do not know why. But yes.
I often get notably attached to one or two specific characters in a story, so that I'm all "squeee!" every time they appear, and I can usually not figure out why on earth it is precisely this character.
...Also kinda fitting since my last name actually means "squirrel".

The extremely rare (and therefore extremely expensive) Dante Squid (of New Patagonia) is known (or allegedly considered) to be highly susceptible to spontaneous (if not very pretty) combustion precisely 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds after being captured and immersed in any form of translucent liquid preservative and exposed to direct sunlight...sadly this was done nad the Dante Squid had no choice (contractual obligations) but to explode sending flaming bits of squid and tentacles in all directions igniting all other combustible materials within the confines of the facility.

it's funny though, how Croach has a pretty big fanbase. yes, I think it's odd, even though I am one of them. I think for mw though, its just a sipped threw the book before I bought it and knew what was going on, and saw his classes outfits then him. didn't notice he was holding a shovel, and thought it was a scythe and I thought he was death or something. XD *bricked...again*
