ok i'm sorry for my noob photography skillsLARGE FILE pls be patient
medium : sculpy, tinfoil and wire
time: at least 30 hours
tools, some wire ones i made, screwdriver, wire cutters, knife
main idea : what if murk grandis, alien and a dragon had a love child
YET TO BE FINISHED (still needs paint and latex)

your local hardware store should have steel or aluminum wire

it sure will!basically anything to help support the weight of the sculpy, hell i've used cardboard and glass in some!

oh cardboard and glass will work too? neat!! I did end up using aluminum it worked out really well. The wings fell off but we glued them on. I didn't use foil on them lol they were really heavy.

wings are a pain when spread!
always double check they'll fit in the oven haha
did you use a smaller wire to connect the wing armature to the main frame?
My next challenge is to make them disassemble so i can make molds of them haha

Lol yeah. and Idk what I did I kinda just threw wire together and put foil over it. They came off but we glued them back on. so it works now they work ok.

well if i want a sharp bend i use pliers otherwise just with my fingers

I'm mostly having issues with getting a wire to stay. though I'm prolly not using good wire. xD

no, I just can't get the wire to bend properly. When i try to get a tight wrap or something so it doesn't move it just slides up and down the spine

start off by wrapping the wire halfway along a leg/arm/wing then wrap towards the spine and along

Well... what type of wire are you using? I'm using some thick, black wire that doesn't wrap very well.

i use a thick gauge wire for the skeleton and a thiner armature wire to bind them all together

those muscles and bones are astounding! they really are!! and the teeth remind me of an Anglur Fish....it's a pity we can't see more of those rough drawings, because what i could see of them they looked intresting as well!
after you've done this one, what will you do next?
i didn't think you could use wire, sculpty and foil in an oven all together, now i know you can! - would have been more helpful to me years ago

yea i used to just use wire but that didn't work very well and used alot of sculp; that one isn't even a whole pack 
colour wise i have no idea, maybe dark blues, black, and some red here and there

i was thinking along the lines of reds and dark colours and greens - making it look infectious and plague-ridden, but it's your model so whatever you colour it in it's sure to be ace! ^.^
