Description
This is for a request/idea I received was from ~kittycat299 for a chocolate sundae!I must admit this is one of the more challenging pixelart pieces I ever did! The glass details and shading were the parts I needed to focus the most. Hopefully I found a pic featuring pixel dollz on a biscuit made coach that also featured a glass with a ice cream desert that gave me quite some hints to complete this!

Thnx! At first I found it difficult to chose the right colours and shapes but moving further I realised that wasn't so hard after all... It was the first of this kind to ever made but I had a very good example to follow!

The last months I've been receiving quite some comments regarding pixelart techniques and tips how to get more realistic results. Having this in mind I got an idea of making this short strip to show a kind of step-by-step design...

Its a good idea. Sounds like a lot of work tho with much needed patience for it all. But if I had to figure how you did the stages in the step-by-step animation, you have different layers, thus its easier to put together for each step stage. @_@ that's a lot of layers.

Perhaps I may turn this into a tutorial. It'll be a good example to do so.
Not exactly! I did the whole thing in MS Paint that has no layers. But I kept some stages in order to prepare this animation, which I did in ImageReady (Photoshop fellow software) where I turned them into layers.

MS Paint doesnt have so many buttons that you no-idea how to use like PS.

Indeed! It's much simpler and down to basics. Perhaps that's the advantage towards Photoshop when it comes to PixelArt - you just need the Pen Tool, the Eraser, the Bucket, the Magnifier and lots of patience!
Of course when you need your PixelArt pic to become transparent and/or animated you surely need Photoshop and/or ImageReady apparently.

Well, a lot of people use this programme but this doesn't say anything. You may use an other programme you may find suitable for you. Perhaps money and easy may be some of the issues you may consider!

Well, it took me some time to get into the whole concept and find the proper colours (for glass, cream etc.). ><' But later I realised that wasn't so bad... Perhaps I'll practice more with this...
