Description
This is for a request/idea I received was from ~kittycat299 for a chocolate sundae!I must admit this is one of the more challenging pixelart pieces I ever did! The glass details and shading were the parts I needed to focus the most. Hopefully I found a pic featuring pixel dollz on a biscuit made coach that also featured a glass with a ice cream desert that gave me quite some hints to complete this!
Behind the scene: This shows you how this Chocolate Sundae was built!
Enjoy it! Slurrrp...

I love this! The shading on the glass is one of my favourite parts! ^^(hope I'll be able to do pixels this good one day -- --)
Also, I'm very very sorry to bother you asking this, but how did you manage to make it transparent (having the DA logo showing up in the preview image and all that) I've looked around as much as I could, but I can't seem to get it right. Again, I'm very sorry to ask something that is probably obvious for a lot of people >_<

Thnx dear for your comment! I'm really happy you like it!
Well shading gave me a hard time! Hopefully, I found some similar photos and tried to make it in some way realistic. I think observing objects in real life, sometime even through photos, may give you an idea and help you get there. Practice is the key here, as in everything else!
This question about getting transparency is quite frequent that I'm thinking to create a help section explaining all these queries. Well, in sort I use MS Paint to create my pixelart, Photoshop CS2 for preparing pixelart for animation and/or other work, and ImageReady for the animation part.
1) What programme do you use?
An easy but not very user-friendly way to get transparency is through MS Photo Editor (a preset MS programme found in every pc that has windows except for Windows XP & Vista). This can be done by the means of Set Transparent Color tool and then save it as a .png file.
>>>Be careful though with colours that may also exist in other parts of your work, beyond the one you want, which you need to keep not transparent! For example, if your work's background is WHITE but also other parts contains this colour too, then when selecting white colour to be transparent all parts that contain this colour will be transparent!!! Not good! A trick I usually do for setting the background transparent is to colour it with a unique colour (a colour that does not exist in any other place in your work) in MS Paint before opening it in MS Photo Editor. So when selecting this unique colour I only select the background and nothing more. Without a doubt, it demands some extra work :S
2) To be honest I never tried this programme before...
There are some freeware programmes in the Internet that are probably better than MS Paint and may provide you with extra features, such as transparency.
One I found recently is GraphicsGale Free Edition, which enables you to retouch a photo, paint a picture, and so on. Unlike most bitmap editors, GraphicsGale can make an animated image with seeing its preview. This feature must be useful for making an animated GIF or a video game character. Unfortunately, The trial period of shareware edition is only 30 days!

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer and all your helpful advice ^^ I finally managed to make it transparent using MS PhotoEditor (had to download it ^^ I had tried other freewares, but DA apparently didn't like them). I would never have known of this program if you hadn't told me. Thanks a bunch again, and keep up the awesome work! ^^ (also, thank you for the various links to toher tutorials, really helpful ^^)
