Giratina-and Unfortunate trainer Tangent
i wanted to go less gore, and more tense malice.
as it fits my idea of the Ghost pokemon better
-Inkwash, Watercolor, and gesso on bristol-
Suggestions for future works,
and feedback on this one,
are greatly appreciated

maybe it's just me. but it looks like Giratina has a reeeeally big grin. kind of ruins it for me. but that is just me. great picture outside of that.

I should probably throw out my gameboy and move on with my life, but I can't help but love pokemon.
Giratina is my absolute favorite, and I created a 'realistic' version of him myself.
I downloaded the distortion world track, along with several remixes, and I put this as my album cover.
My suggestions are to make the tendrils more smokey, considering they are amorphous, and if you were to increase the size, I'd include your take on the distortion world, and this poor soul's feet dangling, Giratina being the only means keeping him from falling into the sky.

Very impressive work. You've definitely succeeded in giving the picture a tense atmosphere, and the way you painted Giratina's "mask" just adds that extra layer of creepy.

I guess if you want something as a suggestion for a future work, I would suggest something like transparency of a Pokemon, like a ghost type only being able to see a background on the otherside. You would far better then me at that since I work in colored pencil.

Or maybe something really challenging, like a distorted image showing through a transparent solid substance like glass, crystal or plastic (I applied that kind of body to Porygon2 [link] and Solrock [link] but I did not dare attempt a distortion effect at a large scale)
The textures in this picture are amazing. You can really command your media well. ^^

I really really really love the way you did this....the lighting is fantastic and the emotion is really powerful. I can enjoy and appreciate the creepiness you've added to giratina, the texture really makes that so much more awesome :3 Really really fantastic, and I would love to see it in person!

that is more scary than giratina actually is. if giratina was an tentacle monster aas you illustrated either id be sure as hell not catch it and turn off my ds quick as possible or possible wanting more to catch it and just rape other trainer npcs with it

Well i thought the designs for the 3 dragons and arceus,
were really weird, and i think thats cause
they cant make it too scary, they have to hold back, for the kids.
He's the ruler of the dark parallel universe,
i see that as, "dont fuck with this ninja god"

are you gonna do any trainer art of Tangent thar? id love to see concepts of him or is he dress more like you on a daily basis XD
i should get to drawing more stuff along the lines of pokemon stuff but have been on a team fortress 2 fix all summer. trainer concepts thats what i should do in my spare time, think up poketeams, considering i have two figure classes this year should definitely do something fun in the mean time. its gonna be figure over load by the end of the semester...woops a tangent XD
