Description I see lotsa pretty Johan pictures and wanted to make one of my own. This was my first attempt. There are lot of him looking gorgeous or creepy and I thought I'd highlight that deceptively childlike appearance of his here and give him a smile and have him do something nonsensical like lie down in a pile of leaves.

What makes this different from other drawings is that I first made it with pure black and white, carefully considering the value before adding color.

I've also sat on this one a long time because the vision I had for it was too ambitious when I first made it. It still kinda is but I've made compromises.

The colors are nice to look at here. Seems like you spent time making sure they played off each other right. :3 This does seem like a (falsely) innocent thing Johan might do. It could fit easily into what I think is one of the scariest episodes- the one where he helps orphans, talks to other students, and watches the sun set from a roof.

He can do nothing, and tension will still come from the audience knowing what bystanders don't.

Well, I've sketched him many times before, but it's my first attempt at a serious-ish Johan drawing because I had been drawing non-serious crack of him before. Thank you, though! Hahaha, that sweet peacefulness is a bit deceptive though.
