Description This is a commission I did of a bar scene where characters from the Vertigo comic series "The Preacher" hang out in a bar with the main character from the Vertigo comic series "Transmetropolitan" (the former story written by the inimitable Garth Ennis and the latter by Warren Ellis*). From left to right, we have Cassidy, Jesse Custer, and Tulip (all three characters in "The Preacher") and, at the end of the bar, Spider Jerusalem ("Transmetropolitan"). Spider is telling a raunchy story to the bar's inhabitants, much to the amusement of Jesse and Cassidy (Tulip, however, is none too pleased).

I love drawing commissions like this but, alas, don't get too many along these lines.

*EDIT: Originally, I stated that both "Preacher" and "Transmetropolitan" were written by Ennis but several commenters set me right, stating that Ennis wrote one comic and Warren Ellis the other. I've since corrected the error. Thanks for the correction, folks.

I, to my great delight, recently bought the entire Transmet series and love it to death! This pic has piqued my interest towards preacher, so well done.

A little nitpicking though; You've missed some of Spider's tatts; he has a sun circling his navel, three claw marks on each side of his chest and a three pronged ... thing over his left nipple.

As I said, nitpicking. The pic is awesome.

Great picture! Preacher and Transmetropolitan are two of my favorite comics.
Although I have to point out being the annoying nit picker I am that Spider is missing some tattoos

I appreciate the watch, too.

Looking good!

A small note, though, Transmepolitan was written by Warren Ellis

Thanks! Several people have commented on my mistake and, you are correct, Transmetropolitan was written by Ellis. I've since corrected the error. Thanks for highlighting the mistake.

Transmetropolitan was actually written by Warren Ellis, but it's a common mistake due to the similarities in last names.

Now i love this pic, it is beautiful and a meeting i would long to listen too but alas i must bare bad news. I am sure someone else has made this point but ill make it anyway as i cant be bothered to look through all these comment. Preacher was written by Garth Ennis, Transmetropolitan by Warren Ellis. As a point they have both worked with the artist Darick Robertson(transmetropolitan, the boys). To be fair i got them mixed up to and my subconcious has made me suffer since even though the person i was talking to didnt care.

If you havent read The Boys id recommend it, even is just for the rather humerous retired superhero LoveSausage.
