Description You always smile in the Hundred Acre Woods.  OR ELSE.

As a small-town country cartoonist, I don't often delve into politics but I saw a recent BBC video about the way Uighur Muslims are being re-educated into fine ballet-dancing citizens in prisons, er, schools in China.  The president of China, Xi Jinping, whom critics (read: dissident terrorists) have derided as resembling Winnie the Pooh, rules over the mighty land, making sure his people never run out of organ donors and that his citizens never see atrocious cat videos (okay, they're actually videos critical of the Chinese government but what's the real diff?).  It's too bad Winnie the Pooh is banned in China, so citizens can't see my little ol' tribute to their fine leader.  Fortunately, for citizens of the rest of the world, a lot of movie companies and businesses in the world are tailoring their international products to appease Chinese censors (amirite, Hollywood?), so, I suppose, in an indirect way, we all get to see the world the Chinese see.

I can’t wait for the Chinese people to be free of the CCP.  The longer it takes, the more lives are lost:

Forced Organ Harvesting Has To Be Stopped! The voluntary donor registry is almost non-existent in China. And yet the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has created a booming business - billions of dollars annually - by supplying and transplanting organs into key loyal citizens and into wealthy foreigners who are looking for replacement organs.
Where do these organs come from? Who are the “donors” then? And how are their organs being harvested?
The answers to these questions should horrify everyone and should move the international community to stop this modern holocaust at once. All trade with China must be suspended until this practice is stopped and the officials responsible for these crimes are brought to justice! The CCP only acts when their pocketbooks are threatened. That is the only thing that works with that regime.
Just imagine being one of these involuntary donors, and being brought into surgery to be taken apart and have your organs sold off for profit, ending your life right there on the operating table

I totally agree.  It was Chinese scientists and medical personnel that tried to raise awareness about the potential danger of the Coronavirus and who were silenced by their authoritarian government.  The Chinese and the people of Hong Kong deserve better than to be ruled by the bastards running China.  I think the rest of the world would fare far better, too, if they were gone.

It's probably not hard to get any character or mascot banned. If people compare Jinping to the mad tyrant Shao Kahn or the Wicked Witch of the West, then Mortal Kombat and The Wizard of Oz would be banned from China forever. It's that easy. Dangerous, stupid and financially suicidal but easy.

You should not only learn about China from the Internet, because it is too one-sided. Although China still has many problems, it has also promoted the progress of the world, hasn't it?

China's contributions to the world both historically and culturally are enormous.  It's a good thing China and the United States are economically bound to each other.  I support the free market and abhor the tariff war the US is fostering with China . My problem with China is its government, not its people or culture.   And, though I support their right to do it, I don't like how American businesses are censoring themselves for the sake of the authoritarian Chinese government.

Yeah! Some American politicians make people laugh by their statements, often filled with ignorance and stupidity. They don't need caricatures, they are so ridiculous.

P.S. I'm mean not only Donald Trump.

Ignorant and stupid politicians are universal around the world, as are corrupt ones.  Absolutely, the United States has no shortage of them, regardless of party.  However, in the West, Japan, Australia, and a number of other countries around the world, you can make fun of your leader, including making caricatures, without ending, well, deadish.  Or in prison.

'Cause Winnie the Pooh looks like Xi Jinping and I know that from John Oliver of Last week tonight.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!    I can see a passing resemblance. But I'd much rather give Pooh a hug then Xi Jinping.

Yeah... of course Chira's authoritarian government was abhorrent before Xi and will continue to be abhorrent after him by all indications, but it does seem he has particular ambitions to escalate.

Normally would try to come up with a witty comment - like "Oh bother", but I'm tired tonight. Being a "weird porn cartoonist"(or erotica writer in my case) is an inherently political act, pretending otherwise is dangerous.

Lol, I saw the John Oliver video about Jinping. He obviously doesn't understand that the more you react to something, the more you're going to get mocked on the internet.
