Description
PAA isn't exactly the easiest drawing program/game to use, but it was kinda fun to experiment with things there, since it's basically my go-to platform to draw. This sort of "negative outline" took a while. XD~ Originally posted on December 1, 2016

Well, it was a pretty limited technique I wanted to try out in PAA (in case you're wondering, it's Pokemon Art Academy on the 3DS). The idea is that the outline pen tool, which is kinda like a pen on a higher layer than all the other tools (since you can only draw on 1 layer in this), was used to draw on the outside of the outline. So basically, everything white is the "outline", and the color is all underneath it.
It was pretty tedious, & I'm sure it's a whole lot easier on programs like Paint tool SAI, but it was a nice lil' experiment

I have PAA too on the 3DS So I guess that for linearts like Kirby's you used the pen eraser?

Yup! I basically used the outline pen around the outline, and the erased part is where the color goes
