Aaand it's been almost a whole month since the last drawing. At least it wasn't intentional since I've had some loss in motivation, plus I've beenΒ working on a side project lately.But here's the second "Playing with the pad" drawing with Yoshi! Tried to do this in a lineless art style because I really like the look of them, and I'm actually kinda happy with this one on the drawing pad. Quick question to those who do lineless, is it overdoing it if I'm using a ton of layers for this? Like the head alone has 6 layers, plus another 6 or 7 for shading and lighting, so I'm not exactly sure if I'm overusing the layers a bit.
And just for the heck of it: I have a tendency to listen to a lot of video game music related to the drawing, and sometimes I stumble upon some really nice tracks that I would listen for a while, and this time happened just like that. Listened to Special Course from Yoshi's Woolly World , and it's a nice track to listen to ^^

Despite never actually getting to a Special Course, I've listened to that one track soo many times. Β WW's soundtrack is so good, if not bittersweet, with it being Tomita's last piece of work done at Good-Feel.

You gotta admire all the great music you can find in those video games sometimes, and it's always a treat to hear them over and over again ^^
Didn't know the song was part of Tomita's last works from Good-Feel. I really don't follow the music composers a lot, so that explains that.
Know any other tracks from Tomita? I have a feeling I might like a lot of his stuff, and I do love myself some new music to listen to.

He's gone freelance now, so hopefully we'll hear from him again elsewhere. As for what else he did, he also made the soundtracks for Wario Land: Shake It and Kirby's Epic Yarn! Wario Land in particular is absolutely worth a listen... Stonetooth Cave and Windbreak Bay both make my ears happy.
He didn't really compose much outside of Good Feel it seems, which is a shame.

Oh dang, I think I already knew about him being part of Kirby's Epic Yarn (and boy, do I love the piano in a lot of those), but I never thought about the Wario games, and this one specifically too! I'm actually liking some of these a lot. Never played a Wario platformer before, but I've always been curious about them
