Oh my, that is so true, isn't? There is something that feels like coming home when you finally find a groove and style that you feel happy with.

That being said though, I know that pushing myself to try new things (realism in particular) has made my skill expand with leaps and bounds. I aim to forever push myself to improve and try things that are daunting.

I just love this intimate moment between mother and son, this is really pretty.
you just can feel the love from the mother's eyes, and the baby is just adorable. all the details on the "bird-thing" also beautiful. can't wait to see the final product.

PS: is this Loki and his mother (or Thor's mother?)

Because I am undecided (as stated in my comments) as to HOW to colour it. Do I want to go with coloured pencils, or do I want to hit it with water colours? Gah!!! I don't know! And then there's the colours... how best to show the emotions through lighting and colour.... I'm still learning.

PS... I'm pleased that the emotion and details were well received.
