Continuing with the motif of spelunking adventurers, I had this idea of an explorer with their map out standing at the edge of a ledge in an underground labyrinth of sorts. They'd have an array of gear, pikes, pitons, the whole gamut, but still a bit lost. Maybe their map was incomplete or they're looking at it upside-down.

The depth in the background is taking the main rough background that I sketched out and duplicating it, transforming it a little and dropping the opacity so that there's this bit of depth going on. Between the main ledge/character and the rest of the background I smudged out some fogginess to help break up the space a little and give a little more sense of place. I think I should've made the searchlight a different color, maybe orange or yellow-green
