Description This had been another piece I used for warm-ups when doing other works, drawing little spikes here, swishy cloud-things there, nothing too much. Β Slowly it just kinda grew on me so I thought about fleshing it out fully, had some time late last night (and I couldn't sleep) so I took it to color and some finishes. I LOVE THE COLORS. How did you create the paint mixing and swirling effect? It looks so much like real paint, or like those suspended paint things in water! THIS is what legendary mythical creatures should look like, not those pseudo-animal chimaera-like things. Creatures outside of the human realm should look absolutely metaphysical, and this is exactly it <3 <3 <3

Thank you very much I'm really glad you dig her design, she's the queen of storms, after all

The mixing and swirls were done with an Oil Pastel brush used with the Smudge tool; it's funny because using it to paint generates a regular-looking brushstroke but it gets pretty crazy when I use it to smudge Β Over that I do some light rakes with a different brush with the Smudge tool and that's about it ^_^

Thanks Total time was about 6-8 hours, I'm not exactly sure since the base of it started as just some light warm-up stuff and I ended up falling asleep a couple of times I was working on it ;^^. Β But yeah I think no more than 8 hours total.

Well to be fair it's a culmination of a few warm-ups over time to start the base form, I did the rest of it (finishes, textures, colors)in a sitting later Β But yeah... it started off as something to just get the creative ball rolling and it just grew on me as a design so I ran with it. Β Glad you like it

haha thank you very much It'd be crazy if, say in an MMO you summoned this to ride off to a raid and above you a brew of clouds just formed and out of a growing tendril-like plume the body forms and you're ready to go heheh.
