I'm having problems with one step. When I merge the layer filled with color with the rough line layer the entire thing changes color.

i downloaded the brush pack you said the name of but i cant find the brushes on the step you place the aqua vector brushes. I only found one ( the two boxes with diagonal stripes)

Yeah, the circles were made with a circular ellipse tool, then filled with the same aqua color. Sorry about that.

Hmm, this a GIMP tutorial, but those are Photoshop brushes

With the newer versions of GIMP you can use Photoshop brushes, just drag and drop 'em into your brush folder.
