The large dark tiger laid on a rock near the water, the night sky shining bright with the stars and a half moon, he looked up, getting lost in the thousands of light that decorate the black sky. His ear flicked lightly as the words of his father echoed in his head " but of course you would not know, you believe she was a saint, don't you? a good little pet tigress who had never brought her paw up to attack someone *dark chuckle* you could not be more wrong, boy, she lied to you *cough* she lied all this time, but then again, what else would you expect from someone with such a dark and horrible past *cough* someone, with Spartan heritage....." He shook his head to silence the voice within it, he was wrong, he had to be.........but then again............things started to make sense...........why she had so many scars, why bounty hunters themselves treated her with so much respect, why her owner found her so valuable.......how the fighting style that he was taught was so different from the one normally seen around the city. His eyes started closing slightly as his body became more tired with each minute that passed, before he knew it the dark tiger fell into a deep sleep, unaware of what was awaiting for him in the other side.

He woke up in a strange place, everything was white and covered with a thick fog. He got up and narrowed his eyes to try to see something but the fog was too think to be able to see at all, then, from deep within the fog a voice came, a voice he had never heard before. The voice was deep, rather raspy and old, but the way he spoke was new to the tiger, there was something about that voice that made fear grown within in.
Shen folded his ears back against his head as he took a battle stand, not understanding what the voice was saying but by the way it sounded it did not sound like someone friendly. The dark tiger let a loud menacing growl out but that just made the voice talk louder, now he could understand, he could hear it clearly and it made fear take over his body.

"You are a disgrace, boy"

Said the voice as Shen backed down "who are you?!" roared the dark tiger into the fog "show yourself!" A bright red light appeared in front of him "you cowar-" Shen got silenced by a strong blow from a large paw "Silence!" roared the other tiger who was now visible. Shen had never felt such a strong blow before, it made him land hard against the ground with a loud thud that echoed through the desolated place "you insolent child, I would have never, in a million years, believed that the son of one of the great warriors of my kin grew up to be such a pathetic cat" The large orange tiger circled Shen as he laid on the ground, groaning in pain "a cat who has forgotten the reach and mighty heritage he has been blessed with-" his head raised high as he walked, dignity and pride screaming from his posture "a cat who allows a filthy apprentice to steal his own mate from under his own nose-" his tail lashed around as he growled in anger "a cat, who drowns in self-pity because the cat he loves does not feel the same anymore" he stopped in front of the dark cat "you are not worthy of carrying spartan blood within you, you are not worthy to be called the son of Adrasteia, you are not worthy!" the older tiger roared at Shen's face "of walking the same path as she did" A red stripe appeared on the older tiger's face that traveled all the way back to his neck and finished by his arm "you are just as your father, a coward, pathetic, good for nothing Roman who the only thing he is good for is being absolutely useless" when Shen was trying to get up the old orange tiger smacked him back to the ground again "the least you could've done is let you father kill you when he had the chance, at least a death in battle would've saved the last amount of dignity you had left" his tail kept on lashing around as he moved closer to Shen who growled in pain "I will not let someone like you ruin our mighty heritage, not if I'm around to do something about it" He brought his large paw up for a final blow when another voiced roared out and spoke on a language unknown to Shen. The old tiger brought his paw down and took a few steps back, allowing Shen to get up.
The old tiger kept a glare on Shen as a third tiger walked from the fog, Shen recognize her the second she appeared "...........mom....." he said shocked under his breath as the tigress walked closer to him "my boy...." she said with a soft voice as a small smile came to her face "look at you............all grown up...." a small chuckle escaped from her at the way he was still in shock. Shen tried his best to say something but words refused to leave his mouth "I know you have questions, my son, but I'm afraid we lack time for them" her ripped ear flicked softly "Shen........I did wrong to hide who I truly was to you-" she started as she took a small step back "I was young and I thought I was protecting you by doing so, yet only now do I truly see how wrong I was" her soft voice filled Shen's ears, making the fear the other had planted change into peace "everything that you were taught came from me, even if I was not the one teaching you, basic survival skills, hunting, everything. I should've not let your father teach you his low class style of fighting............I should've taught you what I was taught by my father and him by his father before and so on." The orange tiger brought his head up at the mention of him "Shen, your father spoke the truth, I was no human pet, I was once one of the best and most strict fighters in the human city, I was unbeatable and my way of fighting was something no one had seen before. I now truly regret not being more strict with you like I was told to do so, I should've been the one to pass on our old ways to you................and for that I apologize, my son" Shen kept his eyes focused on his mother as she spoke, not even carrying about his grate grate grand-father's death glare "I let my heart get soft by the cats around me and got blind of who I truly was.............just like you are now....." a very similar red stripe appeared on Adrasteia's face and the same way like the other tiger it traveled back to her net and throat and ended on her arm "..........but different from me, yo can change that...." both their red stripes glowed bright as they stood together "you, and only you, have the power to change your path before it's too late" loud roars and human screams on battles echoed in the distance followed by loud drums "reach deep within you, my son" both the figures slowly started to blur as the noise became louder, making Shen clench his teeth and fold his ears back "let the spirits of your ancestors wide you into the path of glory-" Shen let out a loud roar as the noise became louder with each word she spoke "let your actions be guided by the Spartan ways-" Shen collapse on the floor growling and roaring loudly in pain "Sparta may have fallen, but it still prevails in the sons and daughters of the great warriors of it" They both walked closer to Shen as the noise became unbearable "do not let anyone hurt you in anyway, always remember who you are and were you came from" they were both almost gone as a red stripe appeared on Shen's face "and most importantly-" said his mother as the stripe began to glow "rise" finished the male tiger making the sound explode even louder to the point that Shen woke up.

The tiger panted loudly as he closed his eyes shut and clenched his teeth as the voices from the two tigers echoed in his head yet one was loud and clear "remember". Shen got up and started to walk around, trying to get himself back together and clear his head, was that even real? how did it even happened? what was going on? so many questions filled his head to the point he could not take it anymore, he let out a loud roar making birds fly away and the calm noises of the night end. He dropped his head down...........real or not...............they were right...........all this time......................even Zeus had told him................he might have had a bad beginning, but he's not going to let it stay this way.......He recalled Zeus question that he did not answer "so, who are you, tiger?" Shen brought his head up as the noises from the dream kept on echoing in his ears "I am Shen-" he started with a growl in his voice "son of the great warrior Adrasteia-" his eyes light up in the night "bounty hunter of the city of Milisia-" his posture now resembling the one of his great great grnad-father "but most of all..........I am a long lost son of a mighty empire......" and in that moment, whatever remained of the young, naive, defenseless Shen was replaced with a wrath and a pride that had no match. From this day forward he will change, he wont let his problems get the bast of him, he wont allow just any cat to get close to him, and most of all, he wont allow to let himself fall the same way he did before.

Long! story is long, I just needed to put the idea in a pic and explain stuff cuz why not xP

Yes that's Shen's great great grand-daddy, not his dad, just in case, and now his mom has a name
I just goggled Female Sparta names and found that one that is greek and thought, meh, why the hell not
Here's the old pic featuring her she's cute c:
*cough* red line totally not meant to be like Krato's from GW, nope *cough*

so yeah, there you have a little back story about Shen's mom and Shen in general, and yes this means his character will change a bit but he will remain fairly similar with those he already considers close and worth having close, like Torrie, of course.

anyway, I'll make a few changes to him over all and edit his story a bit later on, but for now!
