I'm a sucker for Hurt/Comfort ficsNot the angst usually, more just of how the worry comes through and worry leads to moments the characters share where they can seem even more amazing and relatable
sadly, I'm not comfortable enough with my writing to actually write or post, so I have to rely on the talent of fanfic writers
This was just a scene I had in my head from a story I'll never have the courage to write, a play with lighting and a different style :/
I wish there was a fic/blerb to go with it

Sherlock willed John with those words, the sentiment startling even himself. It was weighed with a sort of desperation and dedication that he didn't think he was capble of: the emotion of a hand grasping for another, to actually want and need another human being. Now, with John so impossibly far and yet in a place so familiar that his mind knew it perfectly and could dissect every detail and reconstruct it again, it felt like he was close enough to touch and yet separated by a chasm miles across.
He knew what he would be doing. John was a creature of routine. He could visualise the way he would move to get a drink of tea, the way he raised up ever so slightly on his tiptoes to reach the handle of the overhead cupboard to draw out the teabags. There woudl be 16 left in there by now. One slightly torn at one corner, just waiting to catch John out and spill it's contents to float uselessly on top of the hot water. John always noticed it but never bothered to discard it and always forgot about it until his next visit. Sherlock observed the little habit with a bemusement. He didn't understand how anyone could just forget something like that. He hoped that John wouldn't forget him.
This really wasn't what he had planned.
Usually his plans went well.
He flexed his fingers and glanced down at the blood pouring freely form his side. he observed with his usual detachment how warm the blood felt but how cold the wound was, how the pain had faded somewhat but for the throbbing awful sense of wrongness his body transmitted to his increasingly foggy brain. He felt quite calm. That was good, he thought. He wanted to pay attention. This was a good experiment in itself, if he survived it. he swallowed, throat dry and shifted his legs, the tiny effort exhausting and flaring up a new pain. If.
He belitted himself for his foolishness, slumping back against the wall, feeling the flow of blood spread and continue. He tried to structure it within his own knowledge of anatomy and deduce what the knife had hit on it's way in to cause such bleeding. he found that his mind was sluggish, unable to conjure up the memory. Once upon a time the drugs he had taken so regularly did the same. he had welcomed that. Now, his inability to think actually frightened him.
He was cold. And he was tired. And the case was not done yet.
Somewhere, out there, he imagined John stirring a broken tea bag around and around, spilling tea leaves like Sherlock was spilling blood.
The image kept with him as the fog took over his mind, his head lulling to the side as unconsciousness descended.
Suddenly he felt a warm rough palm at his face, tugging him around to face the stranger. He opened his heavily lidded eyes with effort. he tried to make sense of the jumble of features.
"Sherlock! Sherlock, stay with me."
John. He was found.

The tea analogy was a brilliant idea, and the attention to John's movements set a perfect picture! (The little part about him standing on his tiptoes made me actually giggle!) I couldn't ask for anything better!
