Description
It's been roughly an hour since Jane woke up in a shocked state that resulted having one of the nearby candles spawn a massive flame. Thankfully, things have managed to die down. Unfortunately, Jane has been quiet ever since. And yet its been filling the room with an air of unease. Neither Kid nor Hershey have said a word to Jane while she slowly recoup herself.

Earlier Kid attempted to reach out to comfort Jane when he saw her in an unresponsive state. But Hershey stopped him before given the chance to do so. Telling him it was best to leave her be until she was calm enough to allow physical contact. Almost as if this isn't the first time Hershey witnessed her mother waking up the way she did.

However, all this did was raise questions in Kid's mind. It was concerning to see Jane in the state she was in before. And wanted to know what was it she dreamt about that had her gripping on to herself, to the degree of shaking all the way down to her legs. And the fact that Hershey's statement was an indicator that this wasn't the first raised even more questions. But it was for the best to save those thoughts for another time. This wasn't the time to ask her about it. All he could do now is to make sure she's alright...

After a moment or so has passed, Jane took a deep breath. Her glands gradually began to glow, as well as one of the candles slowly lighting up. This time, a smaller flame spawned.

Some light was finally shed in the room. But Jane avoided looking in Kid and Hershey's direction, despite she is now calm and collected. Unable to look at them.

Kid's ears fell back before glancing at Hershey. The Wyngling gave a shrug. Ambiguously gesturing that he can attempt to comfort her now if she'd allow it. Kid raised an arm, wanting to place a hand on her shoulder to let her know that he's there for her. But Jane held up a paw signifying for him to not touch her, followed by a brief fluttered sound emitted from her small wings.

Kid retracted, and refrained from touching her until she was completely okay with it. However long that may be.

More silence followed after. This would continue throughout most of the night.

One thing is for certain...

That nightmare that Jane had was a sole reminder that she would have to tell Kid. She can't hide the truth from him forever...
