Description An exhausting few to several attempts. A break was needed to allow her to rest and try again later. She was reassured by her friend that she cherished so much. That she will likely succeed next time around. Her daughter's presence was more than all the support she could ever ask for, as she watches her mother try and try again. But for now, small nap would suffice before picking back up from where she left off.
Just a small nap...

Shortly after she awakened, something already felt off...

Everything was dark. No... She was surrounded in a completely dark room. As if she was in some sort of void. Kid was nowhere near to be seen. Neither was her daughter.

"Kid? Hershey, dear?" her voice echoed as she called out. But there was no response. There was nothing in a void-filled room. Baffled, she placed her paw against her forehead unable to comprehend this peculiar place she finds herself in. "Just where am I... And why is everything so dark?"

"moooo....thh...eerr...." a faint, yet eerie voice called out to her.

"Hello? Who's there? Hershey?!"

"M..oooo..th...eeerrrr..." the eerie voice called out to her again, but it sounded like it was getting close.

This voice, though... it's calling her mother but sounds nothing like Hershey. If it's not Hershey, then who? Who is this voice that's calling out to her, calling her 'mother'?

"Hey!" Jane yelled. "Whomever you are, show yourself! And why are you calling me mother?!"

"Moooooo....theeeerrrr...." Not only was the voice growing closer, but a vague figure accompanying it grew close too. The way it walked looks as if it was ready to stumble with each step it took. Its stance as it saunters seems as though it can barely keep itself balanced. The closer it got it's figure was becoming more clear. What looks to be a tall Red Wyngro, walking with such an unbalanced manner, head hanging as it slowly approaches Jane.

Jane felt uneasy by this. The figure that's coming to approach her, the eerie voice emitting from it addressing her as 'mother'- nothing about this felt right.

"Who... who are you? Why are you calling me 'mother'?"

The Red Wyngro stopped dead in its tracks. An unsettling amount of silence filled the air. And then it spoke... "You... don't recognize me... do you, mother?" Its voice sounded like it was in pain from uttering that sentence. It had not raised its head either.

Jane was not only confused, but couldn't comprehend what it meant by that. "Recognize? What do you mean? I never met you before in my life."

The Red Wyngro's body visibly began to tremble. It shakingly wrapped its arms around their body, hugging themself. Their legs showing signs that it was ready to give. "O-Of c-c-course..." it's voice became deep, and there was a hint of crack when it tried to speak. "O-Of course you wouldn't recognize me, mother..." it let out a small, yet sad chuckle. "How could I... ever expect you to recognize me... It's only fair given that you..." before it finished it's sentence, it finally raised its head. Eyes were hollow. It let out another chuckle...

"...YOU ABANDONED ME AT THE NOOK."

Jane's eyes widened with horror at the realization. "No..." she whispered. "No no no... I didn't abandon you-"

"LIES!!!" The Red Wyngro bellowed at her. It aggressively began to take steps forward towards Jane, with her taking steps back in fear.

"YOU LEFT ME THERE TO SUFFER!! IT WAS COLD, MOTHER. IT WAS SO VERY COLD!!!" The Red Wyngro's body parts were slowly melting as it continued taking steps toward her. "NO MOTHER TO CRADLE ME IN HER WARM LOVING ARMS. NO MOTHER TO BLESS ME WITH A WARM INVITING SMILE. NOTHING!! I WAS LEFT WITH NOTHING!!"

Jane shook her head in disbelief as tears began to run down. "You don't understand...! I wanted to take care of you! To keep you-"

"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU!?" It stomped its foot on the void-filled ground. "YOU WEREN'T THERE WHEN I NEEDED IT!" The Red Wyngro's legs began melting at a rapid pace to where it fell to the ground, while managing to catch itself. It crawled towards Jane. Gripping the ground like it was fighting for its life.

The sight of it caused Jane to freeze in terror. She held her hands to her mouth, struggling to add anything more.

The Red Wyngro's hollowed eyes somehow produced tears as it looked up at her. It reached up with one of its arms that was increasingly melting by the second. "I needed you... I needed you...! I NEEDED YOU, MOTHER!!!"

It angrily began to hit the ground, like a child throwing a tantrum. Arms were completely being melted off with each impact... "YOU NEVER LOVED ME. YOU WANTED ME TO DIE IN A COLD PLACE. WHY, MOTHER? WHY!? WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO MEEEEEEE!!!"
With its final howl, the Red Wyngro entirely melted into a puddle.

Leaving Jane in shock and horror. Constantly shaking her head. Believing she failed the child she had to give up back then. It was too much to bear...

Suddenly, the void swallowed her. She felt like she could drown...

"NOOO!!!" Jane woke up with a scream. And unintentionally lit up one of the nearby candles that sparked a massive flame. This startled and frightened both Kid and Hershey whom were sleeping peacefully.

It wouldn't take long for the large flame to die down. But it wasn't hard to figure out who caused it.

Jane was still in an unresponsive shock after waking up...
