I decided I really wanted something that I hadn't done much: that is, a darker more drab pony with light hair and colorful accessories. I tend to use ColourLovers for some color schemes! For this one, I searched "Arabian" for inspiration. xD I couldn't choose between two of them, so I used both.
That's how I choose schemes for adoptables, anyway. For my own characters, I tend to make them from colors I really like. That's why many tend to be pinks or blues xD
