Description
"Do you remember the stories I used to tell you? Do you remember what you'd always say?""Teach me to be a hero!"
~ Walter Beck and Prince of Brightwall
Probably one of the most memorable quotes in video game history. I had to pay tribute to an amazing game series.
Something that has been festering in my brain for some time. My Fable obsession has returned with a vengeance and this is the result of it. (I really need to stop having this desire to draw when I have studying to do. ><)
So yeah, I'm sure most of you can recognize the iconic figures on the covers of all three games (though in my stylish).
Showing the trend that all three games had in common, learning how to be a hero.

It's so hard to see on the box covers. XD (And I associated brown with a non deformed evil character.)
Eh, just means they're all good, right? Right.
Thank you.

I agree, my Fable obsession has returned to me. . . But you don't want to hear about that. . . About your picture. . .
I love it! I absolutely love this concept and the connection you made between all three games. III is the only one that really blatantly states that. I like how you picked up on that theme, I certainly did not realize that, and I love the way you protrayed that in this picture. Those are the Hero from each game, right? Do they all really have the same hair/eyes? O.o

XD Sadly yes. The major difference is the hair gets thinner and darker (I failed but I just like the styling of them), but you can certainly see the family resemblance on all three covers. Actually, looking at all three covers, to me it looks like the same person aging.
Also: Of course I want to hear about your Fable obsession!

So Sparrow (the only hero that actually has a name) is descended from the hero of Fable? I didn't think there was a mention of that. I know III's hero is descended from II's hero. I guess that makes sense. ^^ I replaying III since I've never done the evil side of it (though I have with the first two).

It keeps mentioning the bloodline, and the hero of Fable 1 was the only hero who could master strength, skill, and will. Same with the heroes of the later 2 games, they can master all three. In the guild, the other heroes could only master 1, if not 2, of those talents. I wish the fourth game would follow the bloodline... but it will not...
I haven't done evil for any of the games, though I've constantly tried to boarderline it. Do all of the good quests, get all of the good points, and then even myself out by robbing everyone.

Yeah. Though the fourth one is going to explain Thereasa (if I spelled that right). Though I always thought that she was the hero of I's sister. . . Maybe I'm wrong. But it makes sense that they are all of the same bloodline. Maybe the hero of the fourth will be the anscestor of the bloodline? (Reminds me of this other game series I've played where the first three go chronologically in order and then the fourth is a prequel to the entire thing. . . Don't know what that has to do with anything but well, I felt like saying it).
I play as the good hero when I first go through the game and then I go back and be evil once I've beaten it as good. . . Though my evil game in II is unfinished (I only know this because I haven't picked either the good of few or the good of one so . . .) and I'm working on my evil one in III since it is the game I have played least often.
In your opinion, which game is the best ? Which game is the hardest ? And which is the worst? Easiest?

I have no idea what to expect from 4. I just feel the first 3 where solid. (Currently messing around with a Fan-something where the Hero of Oakvale returns in Sparrow's time.)
You had to ask me difficult questions XD.
Best: I and II. I - the story was solid. II - RP and gameplay value.
Worst: III. They killed Walter. (Okay the real reason is mostly on the technical function and the pitiful twist in regards to Logan.)
Hardest: I. It may be me, but I kept dying my first few times around before I discovered the joys of Mercenaries.
Easiest: III. You're just way to OP when fighting. Dual wielding fire and lighting, that's just the nice way of saying "I'm about to ruin your day."
Now I return the question.

^^ Alright, I answer.
Best: It's out of I and II for me as well. I feel I has a better developed storyline than II and I just love Jack of Blades.
Worst: III. There's not enough story, the story is basically running around finding people, and they spent waaaaay too much time designing a "better" start menu. It is too short as well. I'll also add that The Lost Chapters could have been developed better (maybe because it is the first one they didn't quite know how to do it but. . .) since after you beat Jack of Blades in dragon form you can continue the game but it doesn't save after he's dead so while you are continuing the game, it is as though you haven't beaten it.
Hardest: I. I actually had to start a new game when I got to Jack of Blades (the first time, I have The Lost Chapters version) because I hadn't been strong enough and stupidly had used all of my potions. . . It took me quite a few tries on that one, not so much so on the other games.
Easiest: III. It just doens't have as challenging opponents as the other two and yeah, the double spell thing throws it off. Also, since there's not as much story, it is beaten much faster than the others and seems easier to me.

I know this comment is old, and probably won't matter, but are either of you two psyched for Fable Legends. We're not following the bloodline of the hero of Oakvale, but are playing the heroes who paved the way, and rebuilt civilization after the old kingdom fell.
And to answer your question Kira4Inu, yes, Sparrow is a descendant of the Hero of Oakvale. The story of the bloodline goes way back before the Hero of Oakvale, with a man named William Black. He was the king of the old kingdom, and was called the archon. People theorize that he is Scythe, but it hasn't been confirmed, all we know is that he bares close resemblance to the attire William had worn when he came back from the void. The reason Jack needed the hero of Oakvale and Theresa was because he needed the blood of William Black's descendants to unlock the power within the sword of Aeons. This sword was what Jack had used to kill their mother, and if you remember the boss battle, then you'd remember how powerful the sword had become just from their mother, who was the direct descendant of William Black. If there are anymore questions, then check out this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8ggh7…

Thank you ^^
I totally didn't yell at the TV and throw my controller in rage at that scene.... that would be silly.... >.> *cough*
Still, completely agree with everything you have just stated. I thought he was going to die in the desert, but no, the game had to make it worse. XD

I know! Before I played it my friend told me to just leave Walter in the desert, but when I got to that point I couldn't bear to leave him behind! D: I miss Walter...

OMG his final scene.... That entire game....
The song "This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars frequently comes to mind for that game. The line "the fight is done, the war is won. Lift your hands towards the sun" reminds me of Walter's final scene where everything is light again.
