Max and Roxanne are tying the knot! At the big day of the wedding, Roxanne's father is there to give her away... and stare down his so-to-be son-in-law.
Here's a little something I've been wanting to draw for a LONG time. Then announced their wedding contest. It's as if the stars aligned.
I wanted to make this simultaneously heartwarming and funny, which I feel is what the Goofy movies were all about. I also used this as a way of practicing composition.
I couldn't help but put in a butt load of cameos. I decided to go with the classic Disney cartoon characters to represent Goofy's generation and the Disney Afternoon era characters to represent Max's. Sort of a merging of generations, I guess. And yes, I modeled Roxanne's dress after the one she wore in Max's dream sequence 'cause it looked pretty.
The background isn't great and I don't feel it fits the picture, but I'm still learning to draw no living things so I guess it works for now.

Unfortunately, Mickey Mouse is not allowed to be used in anything that has someone else as the star according to Tumblr, Horace and Clarabelle are a no show, too.

I've said this before, I'll say it again, I want Disney to reboot Goof Troop as a sequel that focuses on Max and Roxanne's family. They can live close by Goofy and wife, PJ's family and Boby can be neighbors, and Roxanne's friend Stacy can be her coworker. Max and Roxanne can have a few kids and the series can follow them. What this would do is create a new series that a new generation can watch, but old generations can sit down and enjoy it as well as we've grown up on the original.
