“Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.” - Michelangelo BuonarrotiImage - i.pinimg.com/236x/c1/19/77/c11…
Words Below:
Ned was extremely shy. He spent most of his time by himself. Because of this he never heard the rumors. Even if he had, he would have just ignored them. Going to a party hosted by the sorority was a huge step for him. Ned could hear his own heart beat as he approached the door.
Jane was there to greet him. She had large breasts which made Ned even more nervous than before. Jane could see Ned was not yet ready for the party. Fortunately their powers were not limited to the sorority house.
"I want you to walk around the block," said Jane. "When you hear the statue fall, turn around and walk the other way. Once you return to the house you will be ready for the party."
Ned had many questions like "Why do you want me to walk around the block?" and "Where is the statue I am supposed to hear fall?" but for some reason he did not ask any of them. He just turned and started walking around the block. The houses of other sororities and fraternities were there but no one there paid much attention to him.
As he walked, Ned could hear footsteps. They were distant but it sounded like they were coming from a giant. Looking at the people around him, it seemed like he was the only one who could hear the footsteps. The footsteps grew louder as whatever it was came closer. The footsteps also became slower. Ned slowed his own pace to match that of the giant.
Everything around him began to blur and fade except for the sidewalk and the sorority house in the distance. The other people on the sidewalk also blurred and faded making Ned feel like he was all alone. For Ned this was nothing new. The footsteps were even louder, even closer, and even slower.
Ned remembered the comment Jane made about the statue falling and guessed the sound he heard was that of the statue. As his pace slowed, he felt like his own body was made of stone. It was getting harder and harder for him to move. He wondered what kind of statue he would become. A statue of himself did not seem right. He was more likely to become a statue of one of the sorority girls.
His body became like a stone statue. It also changed in other ways. His stone body became more feminine in appearance with a feminine face, longer hair, and an outfit resembling a dress. He even appeared to have high heels on though how the sidewalk could support that kind of weight was unclear.
Eventually Nellie realized that she was not the statue. The statue was more like an encasement for her while inside her body changed and developed. She felt like she was in the womb. The footsteps became so slow that she had to wait a considerable amount of time to hear the next one. When she did hear them, they were very loud and echoed for a long time.
Then Nellie heard something that resembled the sound of a tree falling. It was the statue! It fell to the ground with a loud crash. The statue that surrounded Nellie crumbled and fell to the ground. Her body resembled that of a young girl in a dress and heels. She brushed the remaining rubble off of her as if it was something she did every day.
A new sound could be heard. It sounds like a young woman running in heels. She was running very fast. As instructed, Nellie turned and ran in the other direction. She did her best to keep up with the footsteps that she heard. As she ran she became older. Her clothing grew, just like she did.
Nellie rounded the corner as her body reached adolescence. Breasts grew on her body. They were not as big as Jane's but still quite noticeable. She got embarrassed by this but after a few seconds she just accepted it as the way things were and kept going. It was not even enough for her to alter her pace as she ran.
As Nellie approached the sorority house, she rapidly went through her teen years. By the time she reached the door again, she looked like a freshman in college.
"How was your trip?" asked Jane.
"It went well," Nellie replied.
"Are you ready for the party now?" inquired Jane.
"Yes I am," said Nellie.
Nellie entered the sorority house, played some games with the sorority sisters, and danced the night away. Her shyness seemed to be a thing of the past. Jane later told her that she had been accepted into the sorority. Nellie was pleased it was exactly what she wanted. Days later while in the courtyard, she noticed a stone statue that kind of resembled her but she did not think much about it.
