Trey was a teenage boy with short brown hair, brown eyes, and average height and weight. He had on a long sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes like most boys his age. He did not think there was anything unusual about him. Then one day a fairy flew up beside him.

"At last we found you! Our long lost princess!" she exclaimed excitedly.

"Where?" asked Trey, looking around. He did not see anyone in the area besides himself and the fairy.

"Why you of course, your majesty," responded the fairy giving a curtsey in midair. "Your parents had me disguise you as a boy so the enemy would not find you but the crisis is over. You may return to your kingdom."

"What are you talking about?" asked Trey, genuinely puzzled by the entire situation.

"Oh, they must have done something to your memory too," said the fairy. "You must be the princess. You were not the least bit surprised when I flew up to you. It was only when I told you are the princess that you had trouble accepting it."

Trey had to admit he should have been frightened when the fairy appeared but he was not. Maybe there was something to her claim.

"I do not remember anything about this," sighed Trey, attempting to weigh both sides equally.

"I will remove your disguise," declared the fairy. "That should help you remember who you are."

The fairy waved her magic wand and Trey found himself covered in fairy dust. His entire body glowed in a sparkling pink light as it began to change shape. His hair became long and pink, his eyes turned big and blue, his long sleeved shirt and blue jeans merged together to form a short pink and white dress with detachable arm sleeves, and his shoes became pink high heeled boots. As for his body, it resembled that of an attractive teenage girl.

Trey gasped in disbelief as the magical changes continued. A crown appeared on his, or her, head with a heart shaped jewel on it. Additional hearts appeared on her dress and arm sleeves. New thoughts flooded her mind. There were thoughts about being a princess, her kingdom being attacked, and being forced to flee to another world. The name Trina came to her mind which was what she had been called before.

Trina remembered her time as Trey but she knew that was just a disguise. Her real life would continue where it left off. She did not appear to have a choice but even if she did she would much prefer being a princess to the mundane life she thought she had before.

"How do we get back to the castle?" asked Trina.

"Leave that to me, your majesty," said the fairy.

She waved her magic wand again and the two of them found themselves in the castle. The fairy was very pleased with herself. It was another job well done.
