Nick had just finished a grueling interview at a prestigious academy he really wanted to attend. Due to his family's financial situation, he would be unable to pay the tuition. The only way he would be able to attend was on scholarship and the only way he could do that was by making good grades and succeeding with his interview. The grades he could manage but the interview was difficult for him. He had been stressed out the entire time and although they never said anything one way or the other he was pessimistic about his chances.

On his way out, Nick was approached by a girl with short hair. It was quite clear from the grin on her face that she was planning something.

"Are you a new student?" she asked him.

"No, but I hope to be a student here someday," Nick replied.

"How badly do you want to be here?" she wondered.

"I would do anything to attend this academy," answered Nick.

That was all she needed to hear. With a snap of her fingers, Nick's appearance changed to an exact copy of her. She snapped her fingers again and disappeared. A group of boys ran towards him. To their dismay, they had arrived too late. Hurriedly, they guided Nick into a room where more boys were waiting.

The boys who saw what happened told the boys who did not what they saw. None of them were too happy about it. They explained to Nick that the girl he met was Princess Rosalina, heiress to a small kingdom overseas. They were supposed to be her bodyguards but she had managed to give them the slip. If word leaked out that the princess had vanished, their country might now survive the scandal.

Nick understood that he had to take her place, at least until they found her again. He wanted to attend the academy anyway so they did not have to persuade him very much. They would guard him just like they would have guarded Princess Rosalina if she was still there. After all, they did not want to do anything differently than they did before because that might give them away.

Things could not be better for Nick. Not only did he get to attend the prestigious academy for free, he got paid for his job as Princess Rosalina's double, which meant he had plenty of money for other things. Nick did not want to waste this opportunity so he studied hard and succeeded in all of his classes.

As for the princess, another group was secretly sent off in search of her. Finding her would be difficult because by this point she could be just about anywhere and look like just about anyone. It seemed the only way they could find her was if she wanted to be found and that did not seem likely any time soon.
