Words Below:
Welkin Gunther led Squad 7 to a major victory. The fort that once belonged to their enemy was under their control. Anyone on the other side who was not either captured or skilled saw the hopelessness of their situation and fled leaving the place completely deserted.
Welkin knew they probably left a few traps behind so he ordered some skilled technicians to find and disarm them. The traps they found were suspiciously too easy to disarm and too few in number. More likely than not, there was something else that they were overlooking.
Several days later, while looking over the fort they had taken over, Welkin found a secret compartment that they had overlooked. Inside was a Valkyria spear and a Valkyria shield. He picked them up to investigate them.
Not long after he did, one of his scouts reported finding some ruins with a Valkyria engraving. Welkin thought back to the one who almost defeated him, the Valkyria known as Selvaria Bles. His victory only came due to him damaging the tank the Emperor was on. He recalled ordering a tank shell to be launched against her. With her lance and cobalt shield to protect her, she destroyed that tank shell.
Such power, the power of the Valkyrur, was something he had to learn more about. Welkin was part of the militia and leader of squad 7, but he also loved history, so much so that he wanted to be a teacher after the war was over. Because of this, he felt compelled to go into the ruins and learn more about the Valkyrur.
Despite the ruins being huge, Welkin went there alone. Not even his guards accompanied him. After all, the more research he did, the more he would learn about the lore and history of the Valkyrur. Part of him regretted making such a careless decision, but another small and growing part of him was altering his body and mind to leave no room for things like regret.
Excitedly he researched well into the night but eventually sleep overcame him and he had to return to his tent. While he slept, he dreamt of the Valkyrur or Valkyria, in particular the one he encountered, Selvaria! It was more of a nightmare that he was powerless to stop.
The dream was quite vivid. He saw his love, Alicia, being utterly butchered by the Valkyria. The destruction continued. His sister Isara, Rosie, Largo, a soldier wounded beyond recognition, and many others became the victim in his dreams. The Valkyria just laughed as if she not only knew he was suffering but was glad of it.
Welkin could not stand watching helplessly as they were destroyed. He had to do something. He wished for the power to protect all of them. At that moment, the lance and shield appeared in his hands. With his new found power, he was able to kill the phantom Valkyria. Selvaria screamed as she died, at least in his dream.
Each day Selvaria gained more and more power over Welkin. Being lured in by his false victory, despite clearly seeing the warning signs, was something she considered weak. With someone so weak she would have no trouble winning the war of body and mind.
Selvaria kept placing clues in his mind to get him to continue exploring the ruins. While he was distracted, she could better establish herself in his mind which she considered her mind. Day by day Welkin's personality and mannerisms changed to become more like Selvaria and less like how he used to be.
Eventually Welkin found the glorious quarters of Selvaria Bles. He felt at home there. Mentally, Welkin was only vaguely aware of the changes happening to him. He was more concerned with searching through Selevaria's wardrobe to find the proper outfit to wear.
When he came across the black uniform of the Imperial Army, he was reluctant to put it on. Then a voice in his head insisted. He struggled with the buttons, the heeled lutton boots, and the guns and other weapons to use as accessories. Every time he paused the voice told him to keep going so he did. He posed with the strict no nonsense look for which Selvaria was known.
Welkin felt like he was the Valkyria. Over the next few days, he diligently practiced the proper mannerisms and voice. It was important to him that he got everything right. Casually glancing at his own reflection, he mistook his own reflection for that of the Valkyria. This was enough to awaken the growing power deep inside him.
He closed his eyes. When he opened them again, they had turned red. He felt like his will was no longer his own as he became full Valyria. All resistance was gone as he picked up the lance and shield ready to serve.
Selvaria was in control. Taking advantage of the situation, Selvaria made gradual changes to his body. At first the changes were subtle. His arms and legs grew slimmer and his body hair completely disappeared as if it had never been there.
Then she went for more obvious changes. His face became more feminine. His hair turned gray and grew well past his waist. His body became slimmer and developed some feminine curves.
Next breasts appeared. Even distracted, Welkin knew this was not right. He focused his mind on defeating the part that was Selvaria and did his best to stop the changes from continuing.
By that time it was too late. Selvaria had already gained the upper hand. Knowing she had the advantage, she pressed on. It seemed the more Welkin tried to resist, the faster the changes occurred. This was just as Selvaria had planned.
Breasts grew rapidly on his ... her ... his body. Mental confusion also occurred. Welkin could not fight the changes if he ... she could not even remember who or what she was. As the last physical changes occurred making Selvaria look like herself again, she studied herself in great detail and crushed the last remaining memories of Welkin.
Selvaria emerged from the ruins. She was completely female, loyal to the Imperial Army, and ready to do battle with anyone who dared to oppose her.
