One morning Nash found himself in a cave made of ice. He felt cold but not too cold to function. The walls of the cave were as smooth as glass. He could see his own reflection as if it was a mirror. In fact, the walls of the cave became a series of mirrors.

The wall to his left showed Nash as a woman with long blond hair wearing a coat and a long flowing dress. As he, or she, stared deeply into her own reflection, she found herself changing. Her name was Natalie and it was time for spring.

The wall to her right showed Natalie as a child. Her dress was pink and white and her coat was no longer there. As she looked at her reflection she found herself becoming younger. She did not feel as cold as she did before.

In front of her was the exit. Natalie could see sunlight on the other side. Walking carefully to make sure she did not slip on the ice, she approached the exit. Outside were trees with bare branches that were still encased in ice and a thin blanket of snow.

Natalie had to warm things up somehow. She touched the nearest tree. Immediately it began to melt. Flowers bloomed on the branches and displayed a bright pink which matched her dress.

After Natalie reached down and touched the ground, the snow disappeared. Grass emerged from the soil and flowers appeared soon afterwards. She went from tree to tree causing the ice to melt and the flowers to bloom. This was her job. This was her destiny!

Natalie went from place to place causing winter to end and spring to take its place. She did not know why she could do it, she just knew that she could. Once she was done she gathered some of the prettiest flowers and put them in a jar to take home with her. Her family was going to be pleased indeed.
