Accepting the document, he scanned the page, his eye flicking over the text and the figures on it in silence.

Finally he set the page down and reclined in his chair.

‘Jennivien,’ He spoke at length. ‘I’ve made my decision. Pack your bags, in five days, we are going on a vacation. Please inform Amber as well, that she is welcome to accompany us.’

Blinking in surprise, Jennivien quickly caught herself, that had not been the reaction she had expected. And as she departed the office with a short bow, she could not help but wonder if that page had been the straw the broke the camel’s back.
