‘And what they decide that a bunny without legs is a terrible model?’ Amenii shot back, her face darkening for the briefest of seconds. ‘What happens when they see these?’

Extending her legs, she exposed the stumps where the second joint would connect with her rabbit feet. A phantom pain still lingered there, and there were nights she swore she could still feel her feet twitching under the sheets.

‘It will be their loss then.’ Nera replied, with a certainty that Amenii envied. ‘You’re one of the best here is out there and they would be foolish to request you to pose.’

Face reddening, Amenii did not bother with a reply, instead she turned her attention back to the photographer, she took a deep breath to steel herself.
